By accessing or using the SideStop platform ("Platform"), operated by SideStop Pte. Ltd., including our website, mobile applications, and any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
To place orders or list items as a merchant, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and current information during registration. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide false information.
SideStop is a marketplace that connects customers with independent food merchants, including home-based sellers and shop owners. When you place an order, you enter into a transaction directly with the merchant. SideStop facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the sale of food items. All orders are pre-orders subject to merchant acceptance. Prices are set by merchants and displayed in Singapore Dollars (SGD).
Payments are processed securely via our payment partners (Stripe and PayNow). By making a purchase, you authorise us to charge the applicable amount to your selected payment method. All prices include GST where applicable. SideStop does not store your full payment credentials on our servers — all payment processing is handled by our PCI DSS-compliant payment partner.
Once an order is placed and payment is confirmed, customers cannot cancel directly through the Platform. If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact the merchant directly via the communication channel provided on the order page. If a merchant cancels your order or fails to respond within the acceptance window, you will receive a full automatic refund to your original payment method. Refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear depending on your payment provider.
Merchants on SideStop are independent operators responsible for the quality, safety, and accuracy of their food listings. Merchants must comply with all applicable Singapore food safety regulations, including licensing requirements from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA). SideStop does not inspect, prepare, or guarantee any food sold through the Platform. Separate Merchant Terms apply to all registered merchants.
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore. Sensitive personal data, including phone numbers and unit-level address details, are encrypted at rest. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SideStop Pte. Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to SideStop in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
